Safety Alert - Solid Waste Worker Dies in Workplace Accident

News reports indicate that an employee was struck and killed by a vehicle on June 18, 2024 at a transfer station near Indianapolis; a somber reminder to all of us that solid waste is still a very dangerous business. Situational awareness and proper PPE are critical, especially at transfer stations and other sites where large trucks, heavy equipment, and workers on foot are all in close proximity.
